This event will be a reflection and celebration of the struggle and strengths of urban youth and of a look at the rites of passage participated in by many black men growing up in today’s urban American society. An exciting array of actors will light up the stage with a passionate portrayal of each character. When asked to participate in the production, the men all agreed that they had witnessed this story many times before. Michael Oluwakoya, a native of Nigeria stated that, “The black boys problems are the same whether in Ghana, Nigeria or Atlanta. Unfortunately, when it comes to the trouble we can get in to, there is no difference.”
